What are the label stock types available for my custom labels?
  1. Facestock

The facestock is the top surface of a pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) label, available in:

  • Paper: Options include semi-gloss, high gloss, matte, and metalized finishes. Coated or uncoated prime papers like Estate papers can be recommended based on your artwork and industry.

  • Film: Typically BOPP, PET, or Vinyl, these are ideal for labels exposed to extreme weather, wet conditions, or requiring high durability.

  1. Adhesive

PSA label adhesives can be:

  • Permanent or Removable

  • Rubber-based or Hotmelt: High tack, strong initial adhesion, suitable for low temperature/deep freeze applications.

  • Acrylic-based: Available in different grades for varying temperature ranges and application needs, offering options for low tack and repositionability.

  1. Liner

The liner is the siliconized material discarded after label application, available as:

  • Paper: SCK (Super Calendared Kraft), PK (Poly-coated Kraft), or BG (Bleached Glassine) paper.

  • Film: Typically 1.2 mil PET, preferred for higher label roll capacity and compatibility with ultrasonic sensors at high speeds.

Our expert technical support team at Avismo is here to help you choose the best options for your PSA label needs.
